Google Jumper Madness to save on Fed-Ex Shipping
Did I say, I only wanted to blog about Google Glass again, when there is actually something new to see, related to Augmented Reality? No, well. Nevermind! This is so ridiculously and insanely cool, that I needed to share it! At Google’s IO they pulled off this crazy stunt, which is sure every CEO’s dream on getting attention and a big bang presentation for a product. Well, it worked for me. :-) It reminds me of movies and music clips from the 80s, where everybody squeezed all BMX’ing and skateboarding into the story without reason, just to make it look cool. But Google sure saved some shipping costs delivering the prototype to stage this way. Great fun!
I actually wanted to write about other (real) AR news today. So, let’s not forget these for you to get updated:
mobile browser’s Update
metaio has just updated their mobile AR browser junaio. Now it comes with a fresh and redesigned interface in version number 4. You can get a glimpse at youtube or download it to your device for free.
The mobile browsers are getting better and better in ease of use and availability of apps to play around with it. Tools like Stiktu from Layar (or wikitude, junaio…) give artists a good and easy chance to play with AR concepts. It sure helps to improve the AR experience and get some brain storming going on (while we wait for real AR goggles). :-)
